A fiery and flavorful pasta made with Calabrian chilis, garlic, burrata, and fresh basil — simple, bold, and full of Italian heat!
"Spicy, creamy, and perfectly balanced — this dish is a Calabrian classic with a kick." - Alexia
Heat olive oil in a large pan. Add thinly sliced garlic and sauté for a few seconds until fragrant.
Stir in the Calabrian chilis and sauté until the garlic turns lightly golden brown.
Pour in the tomato puree and add a few tablespoons of water to each jar to collect any remaining sauce. Shake and pour into the pan.
Season with sea salt and cracked black pepper. Add fresh basil and simmer on low heat for about 30 minutes.
In a separate pot, cook the pasta in salted water until al dente. Reserve some pasta water.
Fold the cooked pasta into the sauce. Plate and top with Pecorino Romano, fresh burrata, basil, and a drizzle of chili oil. Enjoy!
